TipTally: Tip & Wage Tracker — Support

Last updated: 2026-08-04

Welcome. TipTally is built and supported by Stive Hassan at WebGeeks AI.

What TipTally does

TipTally is a tip and wage tracker for service workers — servers, bartenders, baristas and delivery drivers. Log a shift with your hours, hourly wage, cash and card tips and any tip-out, and TipTally works out what you actually earned, including an effective hourly rate and a tax set-aside. Everything stays on your phone.

Common questions

Where is my earnings data stored?

On your device, and only on your device. Shifts, workplaces and settings live in a local database on the phone. There is no account and no cloud sync, so your income data is never uploaded — we genuinely cannot see what you make. See the privacy policy for the full detail.

Does TipTally work offline?

Yes. The app is offline-first — you can log a shift mid-service with no signal at all. The only network use is subscription/receipt validation.

How does tip-out work?

Each workplace can have a default tip-out percentage, which is applied when you log a shift there. You can override the amount on any individual shift if the night was different.

What is the tax set-aside?

You set a percentage in Settings, and TipTally shows how much of your earnings to put aside for tax. It’s a guide to help you save — it isn’t tax advice, and it doesn’t file anything for you.

Can I track more than one job?

Yes. Add each employer as a workplace with its own role, default hourly rate and default tip-out, then pick the workplace when logging a shift.

What happens to my data if I get a new phone?

Because data lives only on the device, moving to a new phone means restoring from your own iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup). If you install TipTally fresh on a new device, it starts empty — we have no server-side copy to restore from.

How much does it cost?

TipTally is $3.99/month or $29.99/year, with a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → TipTally. Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the paid period. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us. Use reportaproblem.apple.com and select the purchase. If something went wrong on our side, email us and we’ll help you make the case.

My subscription isn’t showing as active

Try restoring purchases in the app first (this re-checks your receipt with Apple). Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase. If it still doesn’t appear, email us with the approximate purchase date and we’ll look into it.

Do you collect analytics or track me?

No. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, and no advertising in TipTally. Your data is never combined with third-party data for advertising or shared with data brokers.

Can I delete my data?

Yes — uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device. There’s no server-side copy.
